Participants from various disciplines are encouraged to make presentations (oral or poster) on prairie-related topics including science, literature, education, history, art and interpretation. The presentations may be derived from a variety of prairie studies including research, restoration or management techniques, teaching/interpretative activities or concepts, historical concepts or themes, cultural perspective or interactions, creative writing and art.

Presenters are strongly encouraged to submit papers for publication in the proceedings.

* For non-scientific presentations (oral and poster) please provide a short summary of the presentation following the instructions below for scientific abstracts.

To provide for uniformity of the printed abstract/summary descriptions and reduce publication costs, please follow these formal instructions when submitting your abstract:

bullet pointFirst Line enter the title of the abstract in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS
bullet pointThen a blank line
bullet point1st Author line: If the author is presenting the topic, enter an asterisk.
Enter the author's name in CAPITALS LETTERS followed by a comma and the postal address of the author in the same format as the title of the abstract.

bullet point2nd Author and additional authors are entered using the same format as for the 1st author.

bullet pointThe abstract itself (250 words or less), beginning with the italicized first word

bullet pointState whether the paper is an oral or a poster presentation. We will attempt to honor your presentation type request on a first-submitted = first-served basis. If presentation type fills, you will be notified of remaining alternate presentation type.

bullet pointPresentation Needs: Followed by a list of what equipment will be needed: slide projector, computer and projector for power point presentations, overhead projector, whiteboard, etc.
